The Cardinals placed Long (knee) on injured reserve Tuesday.
Long left Sunday's game against the Giants due to a knee injury, which is severe enough for the sixth-year pro to go on injured reserve. As such, Long will be required to miss at least the next four games, so Week 9 against the Seahawks on Sunday, Nov. 8 is the earliest he is eligible to return. In order to add more depth at tight end behind Trey McBride and Elijah Higgins, the Cardinals signed 2022 fifth-rounder Teagan Quitoriano from the practice squad to the active roster.
Long (knee) is questionable to return against the Giants on Sunday.

Long has been ruled out for Sunday's Week 11 matchup against the Chargers due to hip and knee injuries, Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reports.
Long will miss a second consecutive opportunity to operate as the Jaguars' top tight end, as he also sat out the Week 10 loss to the Texans. Brenton Strange, who's been on injured reserve since Oct. 7 due to hip and quadriceps injuries, was designated for return Wednesday and could be back from a Week 12 road matchup against the Cardinals, so Long's absence this coming Sunday may cost him his final opportunity to operate as a starter this season.
The TEs priced immediately above and below him.
