Thomas failed to catch any of his three targets in Sunday's 19-17 win over the Eagles.
Getting the ball to Parker Washington was once again was the primary focus for Trevor Lawrence, as the fourth-year wideout popped for a 6-124-2 line on nine targets, and Thomas didn't do anything with the little volume he got to prove he should be a bigger part of the game plan. Thomas has gotten three targets ore fewer in four of five games to begin the season, leading to a meager 9-105-1 line on 18 targets, and there's little reason to expect a breakout in Week 6 against the Texans.
Thomas secured both targets for 17 yards and a touchdown in the Jaguars' 22-17 win over the Bengals on Sunday.
Thomas was a minimal part of the air attack once again, but that description also applied to fellow wideouts Jakobi Meyers and Parker Washington as the Bengals did an effective job taking away Trevor Lawrence's primary targets. However, the Thomas was able to break through with what turned out to be a key score, as he recorded a seven-yard scoring grab late in the first half in a game that was ultimately decided by five points. Thomas still has a modest nine receptions for 105 yards and Sunday's touchdown on 15 targets as the Jaguars head across the pond to face the Eagles in London in Week 5.
Thomas secured his only target for eight yards in the Jaguars' 35-6 win over the Patriots on Sunday.
Everyone sharing the ball with Brian, most valuable first.
Above the line the plan was to throw; below it, to run.
Thomas' minimal role in the Jaguars' air attack was glaring on a day when Trevor Lawrence threw three touchdown passes. All of Jakobi Meyers, Parker Washington, Brenton Strange, Josh Cameron and LeQuint Allen outpaced Thomas with at least one aspect of their receiving lines, the latter has a modest 7-88-0 line on 12 targets over the first three games of the campaign. Given the complementary role he seems to have fallen into, Thomas' prospects are generally dim heading into a Week 4 road matchup against the Bengals next Sunday.
Thomas brought in three of eight targets for 40 yards in the Jaguars' 20-13 loss to the Broncos on Sunday.
Thomas' inefficient afternoon saw him mirror his same stat line from Week 1. The 2024 first-round pick's start to the new season has been somewhat worrisome considering he often underwhelmed in 2025 while playing in head coach Liam Coen's offense for the first time. Thomas should continue to see plenty of opportunity, but it remains to be seen how he'll fare against a second straight tough secondary in that of the Patriots during a Week 3 home matchup next Sunday.
Thomas (shoulder) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game at Denver, Ryan O'Halloran of the Florida Times-Union reports.
The Jaguars listed Thomas as a limited practice participant all week, after he played just eight snaps on offense after the first quarter of a Week 1 win over Cleveland. He did catch three passes for 40 yards in the opening quarter, and he likely would've played more if the Jaguars hadn't been up by three-plus scores for the entire second half. Still, there's some risk of re-injury, and continued risk of playing behind Parker Washington and Jakobi Meyers in multi-TE formations.
Thomas (shoulder) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday.
Thomas now has back-to-back capped sessions under his belt due to a shoulder injury to kick off Week 2 prep, which isn't unexpected after coach Liam Coen told Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com on Monday that the wide receiver would be limited in practice this week. Nevertheless, Thomas now has one more chance to get back to full Friday before the jaguars potentially tag him with a designation for Sunday's game at Denver.
Thomas (shoulder) was limited in Wednesday's practice.
This was expected, as coach Liam Coen said Monday that the third-year wideout would be limited this week as he works through a shoulder issue. Coen added that he expects Thomas to be available Week 2, but it will depend on how his shoulder holds up going into the weekend. Of note, fellow wideout Jakobi Meyers (thumb) was also limited Wednesday.
Coach Liam Coen said Monday that Thomas (shoulder) will be limited in practice this week, Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reports.
Thomas was briefly forced from Sunday's win over the Browns but was able to return and finished with three catches for 40 yards on three targets. Coen expects Thomas to play next Sunday against the Broncos despite the shoulder issue, but the matchup will be much tougher on paper. Behind Parker Washington in the pecking order for targets, Thomas is shaping up as a WR4 fantasy bet moving forward.
Thomas is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Browns due to a shoulder injury.

Thomas looked like one of the best players on the field throughout Jacksonville's spring practices, according to John Shipley of SI.com.
Thomas built some momentum in joint practices prior to his strong 2024 rookie campaign, but he never quite got on the same page with Trevor Lawrence during the lead-up to the 2025 regular season, which turned out to be a disappointing one for Thomas. The 2024 first-round pick looks to be back on track heading into 2026, and Shipley mentions that Thomas is healthier than he was at the same time last year, which has helped the talented wide receiver excel so far this offseason.
