James Boyd of The Athletic relays that Dulin is the frontrunner for the Colts' No. 3 wide receiver job due to his strong play in offseason program and his experience in the offensive scheme of head coach Shane Steichen.
The Colts traded Michael Pittman to the Steelers in March, leaving Alec Pierce and Josh Downs as the top wide receivers on the depth chart. Pierce has been sidelined during offseason practices due to ankle surgery, and Dulin has made the most of his opportunity to step into a more prominent role during team drills, including Wednesday's session when he hauled in multiple touchdown passes. The Colts may add a free agent wide receiver like Keenan Allen or Deebo Samuel prior to the start of training camp, but for now, it looks like Dulin has the inside track on Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Laquon Treadwell and rookie seventh-rounder Deion Burks for the WR3.
Dulin could not secure either of his two targets during Sunday's 38-30 season-finale loss to Houston.
