Downs was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice due to a hamstring injury and rest.
Per Stephen Holder of ESPN.com, Downs was able to take part in individual drills during the portion of practice that was open to the media, which suggests that his hamstring injury isn't an overly serious one. The fact that Downs' limitations Wednesday were also attributed to rest is another positive sign that he'll be ready to play Sunday against the Titans. The wideout will still likely need to upgrade to full practice participation by Friday to avoid carrying an injury designation into the weekend.

Downs (calf) is not on the Colts' injury report.
The fourth-year receiver downplayed the calf injury that slowed him towards the end of summer. Downs evaded the injury report entirely Wednesday, signaling that he should be ready to go for the opener against the Ravens. Indianapolis may be full-strength at receiver with Alec Pierce trending in the right direction as well.
Downs (calf) was spotted on the field participating in Tuesday's practice, Jake Arthur of Roundtable.io reports.
Downs missed some practice time last week with what he termed as a "very minor" calf injury. The Colts will release their first Week 1 injury report Sept. 9, and if his activity Tuesday is any indication, Downs could be off the report entirely as the team prepares for its season opener against the Ravens.
Alec Pierce was activated from the active/PUP list Thursday, per Mike Chappell of Fox 59 News Indianapolis, adding more competition in a wide receiver room that also includes Downs and recent signee Keenan Allen.
Pierce led the Colts with 1,003 receiving yards in 2025, while Downs finished fourth on the team with 566 receiving yards, also trailing Tyler Warren and Michael Pittman. Indianapolis traded Pittman to Pittsburgh in the offseason but subsequently signed Allen to fill that void, while Pierce is progressing in his recovery from March ankle surgery, so Downs once again finds himself competing for targets in a Colts offense that relies primarily on the legs of Jonathan Taylor rather than the arm of Daniel Jones.
