McCaffrey (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Colts in London.
McCaffrey suited up for the first time all season in the Commanders' Week 3 win over the Seahawks, but his playing time was contained to special teams. Even with top wideout Terry McLaurin (hamstring) sitting out Sunday, McCaffrey won't be called upon to provide depth at receiver. Washington will go with Stefon Diggs, Antonio Williams, Treylon Burks, Dyami Brown and Jaylin Lane as its available options at the position.

McCaffrey will face more competition for playing time, as Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports that the Commanders signed wide receivers Dyami Brown and Van Jefferson on Friday.
With Deebo Samuel no longer under contract in Washington, McCaffrey looked like the best of the rest at wide receiver behind Terry McLaurin prior to Friday's additions to the wide receiver room. McCaffrey averaged 22.6 receiving yards per game in his nine games played in 2025 prior to a season-ending collarbone injury. Brown and Jefferson both topped McCaffrey's total of 203 receiving yards in the 2025 regular season, as Brown had 227 yards with the Jaguars while Jefferson posted 350 yards with the Titans.
