Strand (coach's decision) is inactive for Thursday's game against the Packers.
Strand saw some action in relief of Cooper Rush in the 34-3 loss to Carolina in Week 2. However, he didn't play well, throwing for 59 yards and one interception off 8-for-15 passing, adding two carries for 16 yards. With Michael Penix (knee) and Tua Tagovailoa (oblique) back in the mix, and Rush serving as the emergency signal-caller, Strand's services won't be needed in Week 3.
Strand completed just eight of 15 passes for 59 yards and an interception in the Falcons' 34-3 loss to the Panthers on Sunday.

Strand made his case for the Falcons' No. 3 quarterback job during Saturday's 34-6 preseason win over the Colts, Marc Raimondi of ESPN.com reports.
With both Tua Tagovailoa and Michael Penix sidelined for Saturday's contest, Cooper Rush got the start while Strand served as the backup. Strand entered the game late in the second quarter and started off strongly, completing each of his first eight pass attempts for 155 yards. He ended the game having completed 12 of 17 passes for 212 yards, one touchdown and zero interceptions while turning nine carries into 22 yards, including a 16-yard touchdown scramble. Rush's experience puts him on the inside track for the QB3 role behind Tagovailoa and Penix. However, Strand's performance Saturday -- coupled with a strong summer and training camp -- gives the undrafted rookie out of Minnesota State-Moorhead an outside chance of cracking the Falcons' 53-man at the end of training camp.
The QBs priced immediately above and below him.
