Herbert completed 22 of 37 passes for 204 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's 22-6 loss to the Chiefs. He also rushed five times for 26 yards.
Herbert continued to struggle but once again got little help from his teammates. Top wide receiver Ladd McConkey (concussion) exited early and the Chargers couldn't generate much on the ground, as Herbert led the team in rushing yards. Herbert was held without a touchdown for the first time this season after throwing exactly one touchdown pass in each of the previous five games. The 0-6 Chargers are the first team to six losses this season, as the Titans notched their first win of the season over the Colts on Sunday to improve to 1-5, while the winless Dolphins were on bye. Herbert will be on bye in Week 7 before his next opportunity to snap this season-opening losing streak in a nominal road game against the Rams in Week 8.
Herbert was 19-for-31 passing for 189 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions, took six carries for 40 yards and lost a fumble during Sunday's 30-23 loss in Seattle.
Herbert's three turnovers led directly to seven points for the Seahawks -- i.e. L.A.'s margin of defeat -- and he didn't reach the 200-yard threshold through the air for the second time in four contests this season. Having Ladd McConkey at less than 100 percent didn't help matters, and the team's top wide receiver appeared to aggravate an existing foot injury in the second half and didn't return to action. Herbert boasts just four touchdown passes versus six interceptions in 2026, and he may find difficulty achieving his first win of the campaign next Sunday against the Broncos.
Above the line the plan was to throw; below it, to run.
Herbert completed 17 of 27 passes for 209 yards with one touchdown and one interception while adding five rushes for 29 yards in the Chargers' 26-14 loss to the Cardinals on Sunday.
Herbert's final line was about as unremarkable as his performance in the shocking season-opening loss, one where the 2020 first-round pick was sacked three times in addition to his one interception. He had a particularly difficult second half outside of his eight-yard touchdown pass to Ladd McConkey (chest), as Los Angeles' six other possessions after halftime ended in either a punt, a blocked punt or the aforementioned interception, which came at the Cardinals' 5-yard line. The loss of McConkey to his injury in the third quarter certainly didn't help Herbert's cause, and he and his healthy teammates will look to atone for an alarming upset defeat when they face off with the division rival Raiders in next Sunday's home matchup.
The QBs priced immediately above and below him.
