Palmer (shoulder) was a limited participant at practice Thursday.
Palmer was sidelined in Week 5 against the Rams because of a shoulder injury he picked up during practice, and now his status for Week 6 is in jeopardy. He'll probably have to manage a full practice Friday to avoid carrying an injury designation into the weekend, and with DJ Moore tending to an AC joint sprain, Palmer's availability for Sunday's game at Las Vegas will garner extra attention from fantasy managers.
Palmer (shoulder) was listed as a limited participant at the Bills' walkthrough practice Wednesday.
Palmer suffered a shoulder injury during practice and was ultimately unavailable for Buffalo's Week 5 win over the Rams on Monday Night Football. Although the team didn't officially practice Wednesday, the wide receiver's listing as a limited participant is a positive sign. Palmer will have two more chances to officially practice in full prior to Sunday's matchup with the Raiders.
Above the line the plan was to throw; below it, to run.
Palmer (shoulder) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Rams, Katherine Fitzgerald of The Buffalo News reports.
Palmer popped up on Friday's injury report as a limited participant due to a shoulder issue, which appears to be severe enough for him to miss his first game of the season. With DJ Moore (shoulder) listed as questionable, the Bills' top pass catching options could be Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman and Dalton Kincaid, and rookie Skyler Bell is expected to make his NFL debut after being a healthy scratch in each of the first four games of the regular season, per Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic. Palmer's next chance to play is Week 6 against the Raiders on Sunday, Oct. 18.

The Bills made multiple moves in the offseason to address the wide receiver position, and Randy Gurzi of SI.com believes that Palmer's spot on the 53-man roster is in jeopardy barring a strong training camp.
Palmer joined the Bills on a three-year, $30 million contract in March of 2025 and finished his first year in Buffalo with 22 catches for 303 yards and zero touchdowns across 12 regular-season games -- all career lows. The Bills acquired DJ Moore from the Bears in early March before selecting Skyler Bell in the fourth round of the 2026 NFL Draft. With Khalil Shakir also on the roster, Gurzi believes that Palmer's contract and lack of production could result in the Tennessee product not being on the Bills' roster by the end of training camp in late August.
After working off to the side during OTAs, Palmer (ankle) has been back as a participant during mandatory minicamp, Alec White and Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site report. "I'm feeling a lot better, starting to feel a lot more like myself," Palmer said after Wednesday's practice. "(I'm) close to pre-injury."
