Bateman (shoulder) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.
Per Cordell Woodland of 105.7 The Fan Baltimore, Bateman was spotted with a non-contact jersey Wednesday and was able to fit in some on-field work behind closed doors after not working out with the team during the open portion of the session. Though the wideout is on the injury report for a second straight week on account of the shoulder issue, head coach Jesse Minter said after Wednesday's practice that Bateman "should be fine" for Sunday's game against the Browns, according to Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com.
Bateman caught five of six passes for 62 yards during the Ravens' 30-23 overtime win over the Falcons on Sunday.
Bateman ended up leading the Ravens in receiving yards while finishing second in catches and targets to Zay Flowers (eight catches on nine targets). Bateman played a crucial role in Baltimore's come-from-behind victory, with the veteran wide receiver logging catches of 11, seven and 20 yards late in the fourth quarter (all for first downs), with the drive ending on a seven-yard touchdown pass from Tyler Huntley to Devontez Walker. Bateman has a 16-233-1 receiving line on 20 targets over his last four games, but his role on offense would likely decrease once rookie third-round wide receiver Ja'Kobi Lane (wrist) returns from injured reserve, which could happen as soon as Week 7 against the Browns on Oct. 18.

Bateman could take on a larger role in the coming weeks, as Ryan Mink of the Ravens' official site reports that wide receiver Ja'Kobi Lane was placed on injured reserve Wednesday due to a wrist injury.
Lane ranked second among Baltimore's wide receivers with three targets in his NFL debut before hurting his wrist in the Week 1 win over the Colts. Zay Flowers exited that game due to a hamstring injury and subsequently didn't practice Wednesday. Even if Flowers makes it back for Week 2 against the Saints, Bateman is likely to take on a larger role after the latter failed to catch his only target in the season opener.
Bateman did not bring in his lone target during Baltimore's 41-23 win over Indianapolis on Sunday.
