Bentley (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the 49ers.
The rookie seventh-rounder has yet to suit up for a regular-season game. His next chance to do so is Week 5 against the Chargers on Sunday, Oct. 11.
Nick Kosmider of The Athletic believes that Bentley will fail to make Denver's 53-man roster.
Bentley's fighting an uphill battle in the competition to make the team out of training camp. Evan Engram, Adam Trautman, Nate Adkins and Lucas Krull all remain in the mix after contributing for the Broncos in 2025, while 2025 seventh-round pick Caleb Lohner could be ready for a larger role after spending his entire rookie season on the practice squad. Rookie fifth-round pick Justin Joly also figures to be ahead of Bentley by virtue of having been drafted two rounds earlier, so Bentley seems likely to follow in Lohner's footsteps as a practice-squad stash for his rookie campaign coming out of Utah.
The Broncos selected Bentley in the seventh round of the 2026 NFL Draft, 256th overall.
