Stafford completed 40 of 54 passes for 383 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions in the Rams' 37-34 overtime loss to the Bills on Monday night.
Stafford's stellar final line underscores he did everything within his power to lead the Rams to victory, as the reigning MVP finished with his second-highest passing yardage total of the season and fourth 300-yard effort of the campaign. The night also marked Stafford's third multi-TD tally over the first five games, with his scoring strikes going to Davante Adams (four and five yards) and Puka Nacua (two yards). Nacua also was on the receiving end of a whopping 17 of Stafford's completions and the intended target on 24 of his pass attempts, but all of those efforts went for naught thanks to the Bills' block of a Harrison Mevis 48-yard field-goal attempt in overtime that would have sealed the victory for Los Angeles. Stafford and the Rams now will look to bounce back in a Week 6 home divisional matchup against the Cardinals on Sunday.
Stafford completed 30 of 55 passes for 390 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in Sunday's 30-26 loss to the Broncos. He also rushed twice for 13 yards.
Stafford guided the Rams to a 16-0 halftime lead courtesy of a five-yard touchdown pass to Tyler Higbee followed by three Harrison Mevis field goals. LA's lead was erased in the third quarter, and after retaking the lead in the fourth, Stafford threw a disastrous pick-six that Talanoa Hufanga took 66 yards to the house to give the Broncos their first lead with 4:49 remaining. That pick-six was the 33rd Stafford has thrown in his regular-season career, surpassing Brett Favre for sole possession of first place in that dubious stat. Stafford was unfazed by that mistake and responded with a four-play, 77-yard touchdown drive, capped by a 48-yard touchdown pass to Konata Mumpfield, but Hufanga got the last laugh by picking off Stafford in the end zone on the game's final play to seal Denver's 30-26 victory. Stafford has posted gaudy numbers over the last two games despite playing without top wide receiver Puka Nacua (hip), whom the Rams are hoping to get back in Week 4 at Philadelphia.
Above the line the plan was to throw; below it, to run.
Stafford completed 22 of 31 passes for 327 yards with four touchdowns and one interception and rushed four times for minus-1 yard in the Rams' 28-6 win over the Giants on Monday night.
Stafford shrugged off the absence of No. 1 receiver Puka Nacua (hip), delivering a stellar and nearly mistake-free performance while focusing heavily on Davante Adams, who was on the receiving end of half of the veteran signal-caller's touchdown passes. Stafford averaged 10.5 yards per attempt overall, and his scoring strikes came from 31 and 11 yards out to Adams, and from 10 and five yards on connections with Kyren Williams and Terrance Ferguson, respectively. Stafford has a thorny Week 3 assignment on tap irrespective of Nacua's availability, however, considering the Rams will pay a visit to the Broncos on Sunday night.
Stafford completed 15 of 25 passes for 155 yards with no touchdowns and one interception while rushing twice for minus-1 yard during the Rams' 27-7 Week 1 loss to the 49ers in Melbourne, Australia.
The reigning NFL MVP looked anything but during a shockingly poor performance by his side of the ball, and Stafford finished with his lowest passing yardage total since Week 11 of last season. The veteran signal-caller tossed his one interception shortly before the halfway point of the second quarter on a pass intended for Puka Nacua just inside the 49ers' 15-yard line, a play that was costly both from the standpoint of the potential scoring opportunity it short-circuited and the fact it led to a San Francisco touchdown. Stafford's first chance to atone comes in a Week 2 home matchup against what is expected to be a fearsome Giants pass rush on Monday night, Sept. 21.
Stafford once again didn't play any offensive snaps during the preseason.
Stafford hasn't taken a preseason snap since the summer of 2019. The difference this year from last is that he's healthy. While back issues kept Stafford glued to the sideline last year, he's been a full participant in training camp this summer and appears poised to try and repeat as league MVP with a star-studded roster in Los Angeles. Despite the back issues last preseason and during camp, Stafford still started all 17 regular-season games in 2025 and led the league with 4,707 passing yards, 46 touchdowns and a 7.7 percent touchdown rate. He finished as fantasy's overall QB3 but is being drafted on average as the QB12 in fantasy leagues this year.
The QBs priced immediately above and below him.
