Higgins brought in two of four targets for 22 yards in the Bengals' 31-24 win over the Dolphins on Sunday.
Higgins was able to work through groin and neck injuries to suit up Sunday, but the veteran field-stretching receiver wasn't called on to do much on an afternoon when Joe Burrow threw for a season-low 192 yards. Nevertheless, Higgins seemingly made it through the game unscathed -- albeit with season-low totals across the board -- and he'll now have a Week 6 bye to further recover before a Week 7 road matchup against the Ravens on Sunday, Oct. 25.
Higgins (groin/neck) is active for Sunday's game against the Dolphins.
After exiting last week's loss to Jacksonville due to what the Bengals initially referred to as an adductor injury, Higgins ended up appearing on the team's initial Week 5 injury report as a non-participant on account of groin and neck issues. He remained sidelined for practice Thursday before upgrading to full participation Friday and carrying a questionable tag into the weekend. Higgins apparently checked out fine following his pregame workout and has been given the green light to suit up Sunday along with fellow starting wideout Ja'Marr Chase (concussion), who had also been listed as questionable heading into the day. Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network relays that the Bengals plan to monitor Higgins' snap count, but the wideout is still slated to take the field mostly "meaningful plays," which could suggest that he'll be given more frequent breaks from running plays where he would serve as a blocker.
Everyone sharing the ball with Tee, most valuable first.
Above the line the plan was to throw; below it, to run.
Higgins (groin/neck) is expected to play Sunday in Miami, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Higgins emerged from Week 4 with adductor and neck injuries and wasn't able to practice at all Wednesday or Thursday, but he ended the week with a full session and entered the weekend listed as questionable to suit up. Fellow WR Ja'Marr Chase similarly was a full participant Friday and listed as questionable for Week 5 action, but he also is in line to be available to the Bengals offense Sunday. The statuses of both players will be confirmed about 90 minutes before a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.
Higgins (groin/neck) was not taking part in Friday's stretching portion of practice, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.

Higgins (groin/neck) was a full practice participant Friday but is still listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Miami, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.
Higgins didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday and wasn't spotted by media at the start of Friday's session. He apparently did enough to get an 'FP' designation on the final injury report, along with teammate Ja'Marr Chase, who also is listed as questionable and will need to clear concussion protocol. Things are looking up for both at the end of the week, but fantasy managers still will need to monitor the situation ahead of a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff Sunday.

Higgins (groin/neck) was spotted on a side field during the open portion of Thursday's practice, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.
Higgins emerged from a Week 4 loss to the Jaguars with an adductor injury, and Wednesday's practice report attributed his absence to that and a neck issue. Considering he isn't in pads one day later, he seems destined to be a non-participant for a second session in a row, giving him just one more chance to mix into drills this week. Meanwhile, fellow WR Ja'Marr Chase (concussion) returned to practice Thursday, though his activity level isn't known.

Higgins (adductor) will be limited in practice Wednesday, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.
With Higgins having been labeled day-to-day earlier in the week, his return to practice in any capacity is a positive step for his Week 5 availability against the Dolphins. The Bengals are going to need Higgins if Ja'Marr Chase is unable to clear concussion protocol. Dohnte Meyers and Mike Gesicki would be next in line for targets, and both are sensible fantasy pickups this week.

Higgins secured five of 10 targets for 95 yards in the Bengals' 20-6 win over the Texans on Sunday.
Higgins' receiving yardage and target totals paced the Bengals on the afternoon, and he finished second only to Ja'Marr Chase in receiving yards. The talented wide receiver duo accounted for 12 of Joe Burrow's 20 completions against a tough Texans defense, and Higgins now is averaging an elite 19.3 yards per reception on his first eight catches of the 2026 season. The veteran speedster will aim to continue thriving downfield in a Week 3 road matchup against the Steelers next Sunday.
Higgins brought in three of six targets for 59 yards in the Bengals' 33-27 win over the Buccaneers on Sunday.

Higgins was able to suit up for Monday's practice, Kelsey Conway of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
The wideout has been sidelined for about a week with a bruised heel, so his presence at practice Monday is a strong sign he'll be ready for the Bengals' season opener. The team's initial injury report for the week will clarify his status, but Higgins appears on course to play in Week 1 against the Buccaneers.
Higgins (heel) didn't take part in practice Wednesday, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.
On Tuesday, coach Zac Taylor relayed to Baby that Higgins was dealing with a bruised heel, but the issue wasn't a major concern. Having said that, Higgins didn't log any activity one day later, so his status, along with fellow DNP WR Ja'Marr Chase (knee), will be monitored closely as Week 1 inches closer. The Bengals take on the Buccaneers on Sunday, Sept. 13, meaning Higgins' first official practice reps of the campaign will be possible next Wednesday.
Higgins is tending to a heel contusion, but coach Zac Taylor said Tuesday that it isn't considered to be a major concern ahead of Week 1, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.
With position mate Ja'Marr Chase currently recovering from a left knee injury that he suffered in practice last Tuesday, the top of the Bengals' receiving corps now is banged up. Fortunately for Higgins, he doesn't appear to have a serious injury, just one that he'll have to manage with a season-opening matchup with the Buccaneers on the horizon on Sunday, Sept. 13.
Higgins and quarterback Joe Burrow have had no trouble connecting at practice, Dan Hoard of the Bengals' official website reports.

During a recent appearance on the Orange and Black Insider Bengals podcast, Higgins said he expects the team to be very focused next season as it attempts to end its playoff drought, Bobby Kownack of NFL.com reports.
Following a forgettable 6-11 season in 2025, the Bengals have now gone three straight years without a postseason appearance. Higgins acknowledged the team was upset about the postseason drought, but he opined it would be more "hyper-focused" than angry when approaching the 2026 season. Higgins recorded a career-high 11 touchdown catches in 2025, but he also suffered multiple concussions that led to a pair of absences.
