Charbonnet (knee) has been ruled out for Thursday's game at Denver, Corbin K. Smith of EmeraldCitySpectrum.com reports.
The Seahawks opened Charbonnet's practice window to return from the reserve/PUP list on Oct. 1, but he's yet to log anything more than a limited practice since then. The team now has until next Thursday, Oct. 22, to activate him, or else he'll be required to miss the rest of the season by rule. Of course, Seattle does expect Charbonnet to play this season, so even if he isn't ready to play in Week 7, the move will be made next week. In the meantime, Emanuel Wilson will continue to lead the backfield, with George Holani backing him up.
Charbonnet, who is in the midst of his 21-day practice window while still on the PUP list due to his January ACL tear, will not be activated for Thursday's Week 6 matchup against the Broncos, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
Charbonnet has been a steady presence at practice since having his 21-day window opened Oct. 1, and although he's yet to advance beyond limited participation, there'd been some optimism the talented running back would be able to return for Thursday night's contest. That possibility has now officially been ruled out, but head coach Mike Macdonald continued to sound a very positive tone regarding Charbonnet's condition. "He looks tremendous," Macdonald said. "Working through it on how we're going to handle the situation."
Above the line the plan was to throw; below it, to run.

Charbonnet (knee) won't be activated from the reserve/PUP list ahead of Thursday's game versus the Broncos, Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald said after Sunday's 32-29 loss to the 49ers, Corbin Smith of Emerald City Spectrum reports.
Charbonnet returned to practice leading up to Sunday's loss against the 49ers, opening up a 21-day window for the Seahawks to add him back to the active roster. Seattle dropped to 3-2 with the loss, but the Seahawks are content to continue taking a patient approach with Charbonnet's recovery from a torn ACL rather than trying to rush him back on a short week. Charbonnet's next chance to suit up will come Oct. 25 against the Chiefs, while Emanuel Wilson, George Holani and Velus Jones will continue to hold down the fort at running back against the Broncos in the absence of Charbonnet and Jadarian Price (chest), who is on IR until at least Week 8.

Charbonnet could end up missing the minimum amount of time on the PUP list to begin the season, with a season debut in Week 5 against the 49ers remaining possible, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald hinted that the running back could begin practicing as soon as this coming week, as he enters the final stages of his recovery from a torn ACL. Once healthy, Charbonnet could quickly move into a timeshare with rookie Jadarian Price, who picked up a minor shoulder injury in a Week 2 win over the Cardinals.

The Seahawks moved Charbonnet (knee) from the active/PUP list to the reserve/PUP list Sunday, Curtis Crabtree of Fox 13 Seattle reports.
This move was merely procedural, as Charbonnet is still far away from returning to action following the ACL tear he suffered in his left knee in the divisional round on Jan. 17. In any case, he'll be sidelined for at least the first four contests of the season, while some combination of rookie first-round pick Jadarian Price and holdover George Holani will pace Seattle's backfield Week 1 and beyond.
The RBs priced immediately above and below him.
