Etienne (ankle) is active for Sunday's game against the Eagles, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.
Etienne was activated from injured reserve Saturday, and the second-year running back has been cleared to make his 2026 debut Sunday after missing the first four games of the regular season due to an ankle injury. He could operate as the Panthers' RB2 behind Chuba Hubbard, given the absences of both AJ Dillon (ankle) and Jonathon Brooks (abdomen, IR).
Etienne was activated from injured reserve Saturday and could operate as the Panthers' No. 2 running back against the Eagles on Sunday due to the absence of AJ Dillon.
Dillon will be sidelined by an ankle injury, leaving Chuba Hubbard as the clear RB1 for Carolina. Etienne still has the questionable tag for Sunday's game, but his activation from IR indicates that he'll be available to make his 2026 debut against Philadelphia. The second-year pro mostly saw the field on special teams as a returner during his rookie season, but given Dillon's absence, Etienne is in line for a bump in rotational snaps out of the backfield behind Hubbard.

Etienne got some reps with Carolina's first-team offense at Thursday's training camp practice, per Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer.
The Panthers mixed in all three of Chuba Hubbard, Jonathon Brooks and Etienne with the starters as they kicked off training camp Thursday. Etienne likely remains third on the depth chart at this point, but the 2025 fourth-round pick averaged a respectable 4.7 yards per carry on 20 regular-season rushing attempts in his rookie campaign, while Hubbard averaged just 3.8 yards per carry in the 2025 regular season and Brooks missed the season altogether while recovering from a torn ACL.
The RBs priced immediately above and below him.
