Pollard carried the ball 14 times for 52 yards and failed to catch in his only target in Sunday's 26-3 loss to the Texans.
With the game getting away from the Titans in the second half, Tyjae Spears wound up leading the team in targets and receptions with nine of each as the primary pass-catching option out of the backfield, but Pollard accounted for 52 of the team's 57 total rushing yards. Pollard's numbers on the ground have been steady, if unremarkable, this season, and through five games he's managed 273 rushing yards and a TD while averaging 4.0 yards per carry. He'll hope for more volume in a more competitive contest during a Week 6 road trip to Indianapolis.
Pollard (foot) didn't practice Wednesday.
Pollard was listed on the Titans' Week 4 injury report with the same foot issue. He opened last week as a non-participant in practice, but upgraded to full participation a day later and didn't take a designation into the Titans' 24-18 loss to the Ravens on Sunday, when he carried 16 times for 48 yards and a touchdown while adding two receptions for two yards. Assuming he's not dealing with a setback coming out of that game, his practice activity could follow a similar pattern Week 5.
Above the line the plan was to throw; below it, to run.
Pollard carried the ball 16 times for 48 yards and a touchdown while catching two of four targets for two yards in Sunday's 24-18 loss to the Ravens.
The veteran RB found the end zone for the first time this season, punching the ball home from three yards out in the first quarter. Pollard has seen at least 15 touches in three straight games, putting together 186 rushing yards on 4.0 yards per carry while adding a 7-25-0 line on nine targets as he reclaims the No. 1 job in the Titans backfield. He'll look to build on this performance in a Week 5 home game against the Texans.
Titans head coach Robert Saleh said that Pollard (foot) is expected to practice Thursday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Pollard sat out Wednesday's practice due to the foot injury, but he may have been getting more of a maintenance day after handling a season-high 21 touches in this past Sunday's 12-7 loss to the Giants. Though it's unclear if he'll be a limited or full participant Thursday in his return to practice, Pollard looks on track to be ready to play this weekend against the Ravens.
Pollard (ankle) won't practice Wednesday, Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com reports.
Coach Robert Saleh said neither Pollard nor Spears will practice Wednesday, but there's no concern about their availability for Sunday's game against Baltimore. Pollard rushed 17 times for 74 yards against the Giants last Sunday and added four catches for 22 yards on four targets. Playing in a bad Tennessee offense, Pollard doesn't have much of a fantasy ceiling.

Pollard was a non-participant in Wednesday's practice due to an ankle injury.
The Titans' top two running backs are both managing sore ankles to begin Week 3 prep, as Tyjae Spears was also sidelined for Wednesday's session. Head coach Robert Saleh didn't indicate that either back is at major risk of sitting out Sunday's game against the Giants, but Pollard will nonetheless need to upgrade to full practice participation by Friday to avoid taking an injury designation into the weekend.
Pollard rushed seven times for 35 yards while catching one of two targets for minus-1 yard in Sunday's 23-10 loss to the Jets.
The Titans spent most of Sunday's season opener playing catch-up, so they didn't give Pollard many carries, but he averaged an efficient 5.0 yards per carry on his limited opportunities. Tyjae Spears turned three carries and four targets into 24 yards, as Tennessee's backfield pecking order remains unchanged from 2025, with Pollard getting most of the opportunities on the ground. Another negative game script could limit Pollard's volume again in Week 2 against the Eagles, though the Titans will try to get off to a stronger start to avoid that scenario.
Pollard is set to lead a group of four running backs that made the Titans' initial 53-man roster.
Tennessee also kept Tyjae Spears, rookie fifth-round pick Nicholas Singleton and Julius Chestnut on the 53-man roster. The decision to roster four running backs, coupled with second-year QB Cam Ward's struggles in the preseason, could indicate a desire to implement a run-heavy approach from new OC Brian Daboll. Pollard has topped 1,000 scrimmage yards in five consecutive regular seasons, the last two of which came with the Titans, and he sits atop the RB depth chart heading into the regular season, with Spears poised to reprise his change-of-pace role.
Pollard needs 66 more rushing yards against the Jaguars on Sunday to reach 1,100 yards for the season and earn a $250,000 bonus, Zak Koeppel of NFL.com reports.
Pollard cracked 85-plus rushing yards only once over the Titans' first 12 games of the season, but the veteran running back has reached that mark in each of his last four games, including 100-plus yards in three of those contests. He's cracked the 1,000-yard rushing mark for a fourth straight season, and in addition to the incentive on the line for Week 18, he needs 46 more yards to surpass his career high that he set in 2024 across 16 regular-season games. That won't come easy Sunday, as the Jaguars' defense allows just 86.1 rushing yards per game to opposing offenses this season, which is best in the NFL.
