Ward completed 23 of 36 passes for 170 yards and an interception in Sunday's 26-3 loss to the Texans. He added two yards on his lone carry.
The second-year QB led the Titans to a 30-yard Joey Slye field goal on their first possession and then had trouble even getting the ball into Texans territory the rest of the game. Ward does have a 63.2 percent completion rate through five games, a step up from his 59.8 percent mark as a rookie, but it comes with just a 3:3 TD:INT and 5.8 YPA as the rest of his numbers regress. Per Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com, coach Robert Saleh said after the game that he's given no thought to replacing Ward under center, and the 0-5 Titans wouldn't have a lot to gain by switching to veteran backup Mitchell Trubisky as they muddle through a rebuild. Ward will try to find some confidence in a Week 6 road trip to Indianapolis.
Ward completed 20 of 31 passes for 222 yards and one touchdown with one interception in Sunday's 24-18 loss to the Ravens. He added 27 yards on four carries, and threw a two-point conversion.
The Titans were down 24-7 at halftime, but with Lamar Jackson (ankle) forced to the sideline, Ward was nearly able to engineer a comeback. The second-year QB found Wan'Dale Robinson for a three-yard score inside the final two minutes of the fourth quarter, but an onside kick attempt didn't succeed and Ward never got the ball back. He still has a modest 3:2 TD:INT through four games, with another two touchdowns on the ground, and his 222 passing yards Sunday were a season high, but Ward might be building some momentum heading into a Week 5 home tilt against the Texans.

Ward completed 19 of 32 passes for 140 yards and a touchdown while rushing four times for 21 yards in Sunday's 23-10 loss to the Jets.
Ward was under siege all afternoon from a surprisingly effective Jets pass rush, and New York controlled the clock with the running game while stymying Tennessee's offense until late in the fourth quarter. Ward had just 85 passing yards until the Titans' final drive, on which he threw for 55 yards, including an 11-yard touchdown pass to Elic Ayomanor. New starting wide receivers Carnell Tate and Wan'Dale Robinson tied for the team lead with 38 receiving yards apiece, but those offseason additions haven't seemed to meaningfully improve Tennessee's passing game after Ward averaged an underwhelming 186.4 passing yards per game during a 3-14 rookie season. The 2025 first overall pick will try to rebound in a daunting Week 2 matchup against the Eagles.
New offensive coordinator Brian Daboll has worked with Ward to hone in his decision making ahead of the 2026 season, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.
The first overall pick in the 2025 Draft, Ward started all 17 regular-season games as a rookie, completing 323 of 540 passes (59.8 percent) for 3,169 yards, 15 touchdowns and seven interceptions while turning 39 carries into 159 yards and two more TDs. He also fumbled 11 times, losing seven of them. The Titans added WR Carnell Tate in the first round of this year's draft and also signed WR Wan'Dale Robinson to a four-year, $70 million deal in the offseason, so Ward does have a bit more support as he enters his second pro campaign. Whether or not that helps Ward cut down on mistakes remains to be seen.
