Smith (hamstring) practiced on a limited basis Thursday.
Before he mixed back into drills Thursday, Smith hadn't practiced since logging all 50 offensive snaps during a Week 3 loss at Chicago. On a positive note, he's been working on the side since last Thursday, and his upgrade from DNP this Wednesday to limited one day later gives him a reasonable to chance to return to action Sunday versus the Panthers. Friday's injury report will reveal Smith's odds to play this weekend, and if he's able to do so, he'll be on the receiving end of passes from QB Tanner McKee after Jalen Hurts was ruled out for Week 6 action due to a blood clot.
Smith (hamstring/toe) was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice.
While Smith remained sidelined from on-field work and now appears to be dealing with a toe injury in addition to his hamstring issue, he was spotted working on a JUGS machine during the open portion of Wednesday's session, per Olivia Reiner of The Philadelphia Inquirer. Smith has missed the last two games and may be trending toward a third absence if he isn't able to get back on the practice field by Friday.
Everyone sharing the ball with DeVonta, most valuable first.
Above the line the plan was to throw; below it, to run.
Head coach Nick Sirianni expressed hope Monday that Smith (hamstring) would return for this Sunday's game against the Panthers, Zach Berman of The Athletic reports.
Smith has missed the Eagles' last two games due to a hamstring injury, and the Eagles were also without Saquon Barkley (hamstring) for their 19-17 Week 5 loss to the Jaguars in London. Smith has been limited to side work over the last couple of weeks, but a return to practice during Week 6 prep, even in a limited capacity, would be a positive step in his rehab program. Dontayvion Wicks and Makai Lemon will continue to be the Eagles' top wide receivers in Smith's absence, though Darius Cooper appears to have been the biggest beneficiary of Smith's injury, with Cooper logging a 5-104-3 receiving line (on 10 targets) over his last two games.
Smith (hamstring) is doing rehab work on a side field at Friday's practice, EJ Smith of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
It leaves Smith's status in considerable doubt for Sunday's game against the Jaguars in London, but the Eagles will release official injury designations later Friday. With Smith looking likely to miss Week 5, rookie Makai Lemon and Week 4 standout Darius Cooper will once again be in line to handle prominent pass-catching roles. Neither is particularly exciting in a broken Philadelphia offense.
Smith (hamstring) was a non-participant at Thursday's practice.
Per Tim McManus of ESPN.com, Smith was seen running on a side field Thursday, but the activity wasn't enough for him to be considered limited. It could be a sign that Smith is closing in on a return to practice, but until he does he may be trending toward a second straight absence Sunday at Jacksonville due to a hamstring issue. Friday's injury report may provide clarity on that front.
Smith (hamstring), who has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Rams, is viewed "at very best, questionable" for the Eagles' Week 5 game versus the Jaguars in London, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
After he was unable to practice in any fashion during Week 4 while tending to the hamstring injury, Smith looks like he could be in store for a multi-game absence. The Eagles will likely wait and see how Smith fares in practice during the upcoming week before deciding whether he'll make the trip to London. While they are without Smith's services for at least the matchup with the Rams, the Eagles will look to get by with Dontayvion Wicks, Makai Lemon, Darius Cooper and Elijah Moore as their main options at receiver.
Smith (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's contest against the Rams.
Smith gutted through a hamstring injury during the Eagles' Week 3 loss at Chicago, playing all 50 offensive snaps en route to six catches (on eight targets) for 65 yards. After Smith failed to practice Wednesday and Thursday, Tim McManus of ESPN.com reported that he was in danger of sitting out Week 4, which now has been confirmed. In Smith's absence, Dontayvion Wicks and Makai Lemon will be the primary wide receivers at the disposal of QB Jalen Hurts.
Smith will not play in Sunday's Week 4 matchup against the Rams due to a hamstring injury, Tim McManus of ESPN.com reports.
Smith didn't miss a single snap in Monday night's Week 3 loss to the Bears, but he proceeded to sit out each practice during Week 4 prep due to the injury. While the issue may seem to have emerged rather abruptly given Smith's participation rate against Chicago, McManus notes the speedy wideout missed significant time during training camp because of a hamstring issue as well.

Smith (hamstring) does not carry an injury designation into Monday's game against the Bears.
Smith was working through a hamstring injury through Week 3 prep but ended with a full practice Saturday, which was enough for him to be cleared to play Monday. He has a 13-170-1 receiving line on 19 targets through the first two games of the regular season as the Eagles' top pass catcher, and he could see even more targets from Jalen Hurts due to the absence of top tight end Dallas Goedert (knee).

Smith is set to lead Philadelphia's wide receiver room in 2026, as the Eagles traded A.J. Brown to the Patriots on Monday.
Smith takes over as the No. 1 option in a wide receiver room that also includes rookie first-round pick Makai Lemon, as well as offseason additions Dontayvion Wicks, Hollywood Brown and Elijah Moore. Lemon has been dealing with a hamstring injury in OTAs. Smith averaged 111 targets per regular season over his first five NFL campaigns, the last four of which he spent working as Philadelphia's No. 2 wideout behind Brown.
